Jailbreak iOS 5 on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPod Touch 3G, 4G, iPad with Redsn0w 0.9.9b3 (Guide)

About a week ago Apple released iOS 5 GM new version for the developer only so, the dev-team also releases the new version Redsn0w 0.9.9b3 to jailbreak the iOS 5 GM.

Redsn0w is capable of applying tethered jailbreaks to iOS 5, as also confirmed by MuscleNerd. A tethered jailbreak includes all of the features you’d expect from a jailbroken device, including Cydia, yet it will require the jailbroken device to be plugged into a computer running Redsn0w whenever it’s powered on, in order to boot into the jailbroken state.
Update-> MuscleNerd: redsn0w 0.9.9b3 adds auto-detection of iOS5GM…see update #11 at http://is.gd/6eek4Y (but no need to re-JB if you already have)
MuscleNerd: redsn0w http://is.gd/6eek4Y can already tether JB 5.0GM (select beta7 IPSW for now though, til update) http://is.gd/SXCEi4

From Dev-Team’s blog:
redsn0w has been updated to 0.9.9b3 to auto-detect iOS5 GM firmware.  Remember:  it’s still tethered for all devices except for iPhone 3GS with old bootrom.  If you don’t use redsn0w to “Just boot” at power up, all jailbreak apps  (and even some native ones like MobileSafari) will fail to launch.
If you already jailbroke the GM by pointing an older redsn0w at the beta7 IPSW, there’s no need to re-run the full jailbreak step again…just use this newer one to make the tethered boot easier :)
 How to do this:

Step 1: Upgrade to the final version of iOS 5. (The current GM version is available on iOS Dev Center
and you can also download free from our blog.)

Step 2: Download the new Redsn0w 0.9.9b3a for Windows (direct link) or Redsn0w 0.9.9b3 for Mac (direct link).

Step 3: Click on “Extras” option, followed by clicking on “Select IPSW” option to manually specify iOS 5 GM firmware file to jailbreak your device.

Step 4: Go back, and now click on “Jailbreak” option. Select “Install Cydia” and follow the onscreen instructions to enter DFU mode. Once you are in DFU mode, Redsn0w will inject Geohot’s limera1n exploit to tether-jailbreak your iOS device on iOS 5 GM.

Step 5 (Booting into tethered mode): Once Cydia has been installed, you will have to boot your device into tethered mode. To do this, put your device back into DFU mode. In “Extras”, select “Just boot” and wait for the process to complete. Once done, you will be booted into tethered jailbroken state. You will have to repeat this step whenever you reboot your iOS device.
Hope this is helpfull to you enjoy!!!
